Or, Cinder changes and the gods (mostly GoL since GoD doesn't give a fuck) is convinced that if someone like her can change than humanity has made progress.įood for thought, especially when you consider that at this point, Cinder is as much GoL (Maiden) as she is GoD (Grimm) which was the point of humanity. One of those solutions is the, fuck you gods we do what we want and we don't need you.Īnother is the, Ruby's just so pure that she really brings up the average and humanity passes the group check on her. So if humanity will be judged by the end of the series, which I would say is likely, that kinda needs to be addressed. Sure we have people like Ruby who don't seek power but Cinder specifically is exactly the same as humanity of old.Ĭinder currently is living proof that humanity hasn't changed. However, as it currently stands humanity has not gotten past this. GoL says for humanity to be judged worthy they need to essentially get past this. Salem convinced humanity to follow her with displays of power and promises of getting more of that power for her followers. What is interesting to me about this episode is what I consider the important part of how Salem's affects humanity relative to GoLs bargain. Good episode that lays out the end game of the show (even if we don't quite know what Salem is aiming for currently and what has told the other antagonists). I've thought so since the episode aired but the GoL gets a real bad wrap for acts done by his brother.
